OKLAHOMA CITY (November 15, 2022)— Boys & Girls Clubs of Oklahoma County (BGCOKC) needs the community’s help to give the gift of cheer this holiday season.
The organization’s annual Jolly Holiday Giveaway Drive is collecting donations through Dec. 2. to benefit more than 1,000 Oklahoma City youth, many of whom come from low-income households.
“This is a unique opportunity to focus on what the holiday season is about, bringing joy to other’s lives,” said Teena Belcik, BGCOKC president and CEO. “It is so rewarding to see members’ faces light up as they open the gifts provided by community members. It reminds me how generous Oklahomans are.”
Express Employment International, a leading staffing provider based in Oklahoma City, donated $15,000 to kick off the gift drive.
“We are honored to partner with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Oklahoma County this season as part of our ongoing investment in communities,” said Bill Stoller, Express Employment International CEO. “Throughout the year, Express strives to provide hope through employment for thousands of Oklahomans, and we hope this donation will bring hope and happiness to their families this year.”
Most gift requests are priced at $15-20 for children and teens in kindergarten through 12th grade and may include stuffed animals, remote control cars, blankets, and craft kits — a full list of needs is available at bgcokc.org/holidays.
People interested in making a donation can have items sent directly to the Club by purchasing items off the Jolly Holiday Amazon wish list found on BGCOKC’s website. Questions can be directed to Madison Beeson at mbeeson@bgcokc.org or 210-560-4628.
