OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City community turned out to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Oklahoma County’s (BGCOKC) 10th annual Flight for Futures event. BGCOKC’s Young Professionals Committee hosted the event at Wiley Post Airport in the JetSet FBO hangar.
More than 300 people attended, and BGCOKC raised over $100,000 to support its mentorship and programming efforts, including serving 100,000+ meals to Club members and providing 21,000+ hours of academic support.
“Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Oklahoma County,” said Teena Belcik, President and CEO of BGCOKC. “With the community’s support, we’re showing Club members that the sky’s the limit.
“This highly anticipated fundraiser raises money and awareness for BGCOKC’s youth programs,” added Belcik.
Attendees enjoyed a casual night of fun and aviation exposure, complete with first-class food tastings, premium craft beer and fine spirits.
“Flight for Futures is more than just a fun event – it’s an opportunity to create a lasting change in our community,” said Micah Moore, Chair of Flight for Futures. “Boys & Girls Club inspires and empowers the next generation, and we are proud to support their mission.”
